Bowling is back!?

Today I went bowling for a friend's birthday party (she was turning 26), but I had the time of my life! I felt like I was 5 years old again! We went to Lucky Strike, which is down on 42nd street and 12th avenue, and it has a full bar, great food, lights galore and giant tvs at the end of each lane. It's like bowling for classy people, lol. But at one point, I got two strikes in a row!!! (But then I ruined my score by getting 3 gutter balls right after that...)

But I am soooooo glad to say this, but BOWLING IS BACK!!! It's cool, it's fun, you can get drunk there now, plus eat good food...I even had a root beer float. Ok, so I don't like root beer, but root beer floats are AMAZING!!

So the next time you have a night off, or need a good idea for a date, go back to those times when you were 10 years old, and go bowling!!! :)

Jake Walden's Music is Incredible!

So a gorgeous man by the name of Jake Walden decided to follow me on Twitter today (you should do the same), and when I checked him out, I discovered his music on his MySpace page. THIS MAN IS AMAZING!!! He reminds me of my favorite artist, Marc Cohn, but more current. I hope anyone who reads this blog will go listen to Jake's music at www.myspace.com/jakewalden, and then download him on iTunes. GO!! LISTEN NOW!!! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!? :)

Little Linus

So for those of you who don't know, I babysit a little boy named, Linus, a few days a week in Brooklyn.

Well today, he called me twice with questions about a video game, and it made me SOOOOOO HAPPY!!! I cannot begin to express how fulfilled I feel as Linus' "manny" rather than waiting tables at a restaurant or bar. I feel like I have a little brother all over again, and I just wanted to share with everyone how special this little boy is to me.

The whole family is great! The mom is like the coolest hippie you'll ever meet, and the dad is actually from my hometown of Andover, Mass. Ironic? I think not.... :)

Where the Wild Things Are

test 1 2 3

testing....testing...

testing to see if this will post on my facebook page...

It's 6am -- do you know where YOUR moms are???

Ok, so I got a babysitting gig tonight for a mother and her two twin boys. When I got here, the boys were already asleep, so I was already getting paid to work on my computer and do nothing. The gig was from 830pm until 1am.

It is now 4:27am...still no mom...should I be worried!? :(

P.S. The mom FINALLY came home at 6am....awesome....

....at least she tipped me well....I think she is fully supporting my "Joshua needs a new mac" fund.... ;)

Crashing into doors...

Today, I literally saw a guy SMASH into a glass window. He seriously walked straight into it like you see in the movies, as if he thought the door was open. You should have seen his face when he walked into it. He was so shocked, and he even threw his arm up against the door, as if he was in a cartoon and got stuck to the glass. I feel bad for the guy, but is was, BY FAR, the FUNNIEST thing I have ever seen in real life. I know you see people crash into doors all the time in the movies, but it seriously makes you pee your pants when you see it in real life... :)

Anthony Hollock in Backstage!

So, one of my best friends from Point Park, Anthony Hollock, who currently stars in the Tribe of Broadway's "Hair," is on the front cover of Backstage magazine this week! I am SOOOOOOOOO proud of him, and I hope anyone who reads this goes to check him out. I also know Ato, Maya, an Theo, and are also on the cover with Anthony, and all 4 of them have a lot of great things to say in the article inside. love. Love. LOVE. :)

I was arrested!?

So, I grew up in Andover, Mass, about 20 minutes north of Boston, and apparently there is another Joshua Desjardins in Bow, New Hampshire who is the same age as me, and was arrested for a drug conspiracy on St. Patrick's Day this year. What are the odds!?

Check it out! :)

"Where Everybody Knows Your Name"

Sang this the other night at the Duplex. In case the first few chords don't give it away, it's the theme song from "Cheers." Video provided by the wonderful, Ashley Randele. THANKS, GIRL! :)

Instinct Magazine's "Parents of the Month"

Instinct Magazine's "Parents of the Month"

Be sure to check out the April issue of Instinct Magazine where my very own parents will be featured as their "Mom of the Month," or in this case, "Parents of the Month." I nominated my parents over the holidays, and they were selected for being so supportive of their two--yes, TWO--gay sons. I LOVE YOU, MOM AND DAD!!! :)

Check out my official website!

I've updated my website a lot recently, so check it out! I welcome any feedback.
